WELCOME!

We are a couple of country loving misfits that bought an old farm in 2020. Michael is a professional artist and Janet is, or was (recently retired) a nuclear medicine charge technologist. Our property sits at the foot of the Norwester Mountain range and we have the Mosquito Creek running through our 50 acres. During Covid we built a 1200 sq.ft. studio and picked away at a log cabin. Something to do. Janet also reconnected with her love for photography and her passion for gardening. So we built a greenhouse.

Michael is a professional artist providing murals, sculpture and themed environments to clients across North America since 1994. He studied Fine Arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art in Halifax followed by a two year stint at Dalhousie School of Architecture for Environmental Design. Returning to Thunder Bay to set up shop Michael realized his true love was in the hands - on creation of sculptures and painting giant walls.  With Disney, Rainforest Cafe, Paramount Pictures and numerous commercial, institutional and municipalities as clients, he has been able to travel to most major cities in North America (and even EuroDisney in Paris) to paint or sculpt, returning home to his family on the the shores of Lake Superior, enjoying the lifestyle of working on his home projects, playing with grandkids and cycling off into the hills.
